From America's Spacecoast!

Thank you for visiting my Web Page!

I recently retired from over 40 years working in Engineering Space Services for NASA, DOD and other Gov't Agencies. I worked many years on the U.S. Space Shuttle Payload Engineering Team and Expedable Launch Services Program (Space Rockets) for Boeing Space Systems Division at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. You will see a picture below (when I was much younger) of me in front of the Space Shuttle Columbia at the launch pad with my Icom HT.

Was first licensed as WN8ZAL in 1977. I passed my Extra license in 1982 while in college at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.

Recently installed a Diamond X50A vertical up 30 Ft. Running two Yaesu FTM 500s (1 Mobile & 1 as Base Station). Currently active on 2M & 70CM (52 SImplex) and UHF local repeaters.

Purchased a Yaesu FT 710 (at Hamcation 2024 - Orlando. FL ) and a COMET CHA-250HD Vertical HF 80M - 10M. I am now active on CW , SSB, FT8, FT4 and plan to explore new modes.

Note: I was inactive for about 20 years but maintained my license. I retired recently so I am getting active again in this great hobby! I was previously WB8ZAL - Originally from Newark, Ohio. I have now lived in Florida longer than I lived in Ohio so I applied for the Vanity Callsign W4MIF.
